TRIPS & RATES 2009

Stream Trout

We will pursue Browns, Brookies and Rainbows in the beautiful mountain streams and rivers of the High Peaks and Saranac region. A full day of guiding includes all equipment for spin or fly fishing, wading gear, stream-side instruction and field care if you choose to keep your catch.

$300 per Day

Brook Trout Ponds

Brook Trout pond fishing is a great way to get away from the crowds. The Brook Trout is the only native trout to the Adirondacks. Their ability to survive in only the coldest clean waters makes them the hardest fighting and rewarding fish to catch. A full day of guiding will include but is not limited to use of canoes, inflatable rafts and float tubes, all gear for spin or fly fishing, hiking equipment, shore lunch and instruction. Catch and release is not mandated but encouraged and a limit of two fish per person may be enforced in certain areas as these are such a valuable resource. Proper care should be considered.

$300 per Day

Wilderness Camping

For those who wish to get deep into the heart of the Adirondacks. This unique wilderness camping trip will allow you to get the full experience of the outdoors. A two day trip may include the use of canoes, inflatable rafts and/or float tubes, private tent, camping supplies, hiking equipment, fishing gear, two full-day guided instruction and four meals. These trips are scheduled base of physical ability due to steep terrain and carrying of equipment of up to but not limited to 20lbs.

$500 for two day trip

Camping

For those who prefer the experience of camping but the comforts of civilization. This trip allows you to spend a day on the pond or stream and return to a campsite for a hot shower, meal and roaring campfire. There are many campgrounds located near fine fishing opportunities. You may use your camping gear or necessary equipment can be provided. This trip can include the use of canoes, inflatable rafts and float tubes, all tackle gear, two full-day guided instruction for pond or stream fishing, use of hiking gear and field care of your catch. Meals and park fees are not included.

$500 for two day trip

Salmon, Steelhead, Browns

Beginning in September the tributaries of Lake Ontario mark the migration of huge Chinook and Coho Salmon. Soon following, Steelhead will enter gorging on the eggs the Salmon drop. Brown trout will also enter feeding heavily before renewing their cycle. All necessary equipment will be provided and knowledge in making your trip the best experience on this popular fishery. To give you a memorable day chasing these game fish, it may be necessary to fish private waters at an additional cost of $30.00 per angler to accomplish this goal.

$325 per day (possible $30 additional charge per angler may apply)

Ice Fishing

Spending a day walking on water may just be the cure for those cabin fever days. On this trip you will experience catching trout and salmon through the ice on the hard waters of an Adirondack lake. All equipment will be provided including a heated portable ice shanty, transportation on the ice, bait, lures and a hot lunch.

$225 per day
Available January - March (Ice conditions permitting)

Spring Turkey Hunt

A single day or a camping spring hunt on 800 acres in Otsego County or a 2,000 WMU in Columbia County. Here the eastern gobbler will challenge your skills. These birds are not pressured but will make you work to lure them away from their mate. A 4:30am start will end by noon or when the birds are deemed unwilling to leave their mates. If a hunt ends early, an afternoon will be completed by fishing at a local fine trout stream. Guided instruction, calling and field care of game will be provided along with appropriate gear for fishing and camping. Shotgun, ammunition and camouflage clothing must be provided by customer.

Whitetail Deer Bow Hunting

For 2009 I will be offering 3 very limited bow hunting only for whitetail deer trips. This will be held for a maximum of 2 hunters per trip which will include 2 full days hunting and 2 nights wilderness camping. Hunts will take place on an 800 acre private hardwood forest where many well placed tree stands are provided. A high success of trophy deer populate the area and I also encourage the taking of doe deer to ensure good management. This will be on a very limited schedule of only 3 two day hunts for the 2009 bow season. If so inclined I strongly encourage to book very early.
